Job summary

GIC Private Limited seeks a Platform Engineer to design and maintain data platforms powering enterprise data and analytics. You will drive availability, performance, and secure access, enabling scalable data use cases across the organisation.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of extensive experience in Technical Solutions Architecture.
• Strong knowledge of AWS across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platforms.
• Experience with security, observability, reliability and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain data platforms enabling data use cases.
• Monitor and optimize platform availability and performance.
• Apply best practices for access control and data protection.

• Design, implement, and maintain data platforms that enables development and deployment of data related use cases
• Monitor, optimise, and ensure high availability and performance of data platforms
• Implement best practices for access control, data protection, and compliance with organisational standards
• Adopt automation to improve productivity and reduce operational risks
• Collaborate with diverse teams to design and implement data architectures that simplify complex business problems

• 6 or more years of extensive experience in Technical Solutions Architecture
• Strong understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) across
  • Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
  • Platform as a Service (PaaS)
  • Software as a Service (SaaS)
• Strong understanding of cloud services, architecture, security, and networking
• Strong understanding of platform best practices, including but not limited to, observability, security, reliability, and cost optimisation
• Experience in both leading and hands-on development of projects using Databricks, or similar platforms, to build scalable and high-performance data use cases
• Experience with tools and technologies, including but not limited to, Amazon EKS, GitHub, Terraform, and Python
• Experience in highly regulated enterprises with a focus on security and compliance controls
• A passion for solving complex problems and driving engineering excellence
• Ability to troubleshoot platform issues across cloud and on-premise environments
