Job summary

GIC Private Equity seeks a seasoned investment professional to join the Direct Investments Group (Asia) in Singapore. You will evaluate minority equity, growth capital, buyouts, and structured transactions, while monitoring portfolio companies and guiding exits.

Reporting to the Heads of Direct Investments Group (Asia Hub), you will lead due diligence, pricing, deal structuring, and negotiations, interacting with management, fund managers, and external advisors across Asia.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of work experience in a top-tier investment bank or PE fund.
• Strong commercial judgement and experience in deal execution, diligence and closing in direct investments.
• Able to oversee and work with various counterparties, including internal teams and external advisors.
• Strong written and communication skills and ability to multi-task across multiple transactions.
• Experience/in-terest in Japan deals; business-level Japanese is a plus.
• Cross-border Asia deal experience and sector depth are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Part of the Direct Investments Group based in Singapore and will report to the Heads, Direct Investments Group (Asia Hub).
• Evaluate private investments in minority equity, growth capital, buyouts and structured transactions, plus portfolio monitoring and exits.
• Assist in reviewing, assessing, and executing attractive investment opportunities efficiently and expeditiously.
• Involvement in due diligence processes, pricing, deal structuring, negotiations and legal workstreams.
• Attend board meetings, interact with management and other investors, and develop exit plans.
• Be part of special projects within the firm as assigned.
