Job summary

Our client is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Credit Analyst to support its corporate banking business in Singapore. The role emphasizes fundamental credit analysis, financial assessment, and credit proposal preparation for a portfolio of corporate clients.

The successful candidate will work closely with Relationship Managers and Credit Risk teams to assess new transactions and monitor exposures, ensuring consistency with bank policies and risk appetite.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and corporate credit fundamentals.
• Experience analyzing large corporates across industries and structures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed credit analyses on corporate borrowers across industries.
• Analyze financial statements, cash flows, leverage and debt servicing.
• Assess business models, industry dynamics and credit risks.
• Prepare and review credit applications, annual reviews and monitoring reports.
• Evaluate lending structures, covenants, collateral and mitigants.
• Support Relationship Managers in evaluating new opportunities and credit requests.
• Monitor existing portfolios and identify emerging concerns.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Credit Risk, Legal and other stakeholders.
• Ensure assessments align with internal policies and risk appetite.
