Business Function

Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

As an Application Developer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and implementing innovative solutions for complex projects that drive expansion into new business domains.

Responsibilities

• Review activities from time to time and ensure project scheduled and cost is met
• Lead Technology team on how to implement the business requirements.
• Leading the Business Analysts and Developers to deliver business requirement.
• Work with End Users within organization.
• Understand the bank framework and ensure the delivery is follow the framework.
• Responsible with the entire development process (technical analysis, design, development, testing and implementation).
• Team effort coordination, dependencies management.
• To evaluate the user requirement with BA and Development team and come out the schedule and feasibility.
• Participate in requirements analysis, analyse the end to end journey of each digitalisation and be able to make risk assessments of larger system design and come up with alternative designs.
• To have good understanding of the bank systems and where are the data located when needed
• Manage the project with the approved cost and agree scheduled
• Establish best practices for coding standards and code review process.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, backed by over 8 years of hands-on experience in Technology Consulting and Application Development, preferably in financial services industry.
• Experience in Workflow and Java will be advantageous.
• Experience in payments will be advantageous.
• Java development experience, especially with integration and API's will be advantageous.
• Experience with CI/CD tools will be advantageous.
• Proven experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required to work within the department, across the broader T&O department, with business partners and with vendors.
• Strong communication skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels, and both internally and externally. Concise and precise.
• Self-disciplined and motivated - Ability to work independently without much supervision. A pro-active 'can-do' attitude and ability to prioritize and self manage time and tasks.
• Show dedication and a willingness to go the extra mile to meet project and client needs, often requiring creative and innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
