Job summary

Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) is seeking a senior aviation safety professional to oversee safety oversight of Singapore's air operators, flight crews and general aviation activities.

The role involves approving operators, training providers, flight simulators and crews, and conducting safety investigations, with opportunities to collaborate with international partners to advance aviation safety standards.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid ATPL, preferably with Flight Instructor Rating, or flight operations management experience.
• Minimum 5,000 hours of air transport pilot experience.
• Experience in civil aviation management, operations or regulatory work preferred.
• RSAF officers with relevant experience and key appointments welcome.
• Strong sense of purpose and drive to contribute to aviation safety.
• Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents and foreign nationals welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety oversight of Singapore air operators, flight crew and general aviation operations.
• Approve and surveil air operators, training organisations, flight simulators and crews.
• Assess safety management systems, oversee industry safety performance, promote safety culture.
• Contribute to investigations into aviation incidents and accidents.
• Engage with international partners and safety experts.
