Job Summary
As an AV Technician, you are responsible for providing comprehensive audio-visual support for the club's facilities and events. This includes equipment setup, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and collaborating with various teams to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service.
Main Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Reporting and Responsibilities: Reporting to the Operations Manager, you are responsible for providing comprehensive audio-visual (AV) support across all club facilities and events, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality service delivery.
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert advice and reliable support to the club's customers and external AV companies engaged for events. Collaborate closely with the maintenance, sales, and F&B teams to promptly troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during events or daily operations.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute a preventive maintenance plan for all audio-visual equipment, ensuring they remain well-maintained, reliable, and in optimal working condition.
- Contractor Liaison: Coordinate and oversee improvement work carried out by external AV contractors, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on time, and to a high standard.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records and conduct monthly inventory checks on all audio-visual equipment, ensuring all items are accounted for, properly maintained, and in good condition. Work closely with the Operations Manager to arrange for inventory top-ups or replacements as needed.
- System Upgrades and Enhancements: Regularly evaluate existing AV systems, working in conjunction with the Operations Manager and/or Department Heads to propose and implement upgrades or enhancements aimed at improving functionality, efficiency, and user experience.
- Event Setup and Operation: Assist in the setup, operation, and teardown of AV equipment for events, ensuring all systems are tested and fully operational, while providing on-site support throughout the event to address any technical needs.
- Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to club staff and customers on the proper use of AV equipment, ensuring they can operate the systems confidently, effectively, and safely.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all AV equipment and operations comply with relevant safety standards and regulations, proactively addressing any potential hazards or risks.
- Other Duties: Undertake any other duties as assigned by your Manager, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to supporting the club's overall operations.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum GCE 'N' or 'O' level with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar industry; those with more experience will be considered for a senior position.
- Customer-oriented, independent with initiative.
- Able to perform shift work including weekends and public holidays.
