The Services required are set out as follows:
Public Address (PA) System
- Train the PA crew (consisting of student volunteers) to take charge of the Public Address System equipment / service during assembly, chapel sessions and school events.
- Maintain PA systems in school monitor, troubleshoot, provide maintenance and escalate unresolved problems to relevant vendors; coordinate with vendors on site where installation, maintenance and/or repair works are required.
Audio-Visual Resources
- Manage AV equipment during all major school events.
- Handle all AV set-up requests for school events ensure requests made by staff and external parties (pre-approved by P/VP) are met.
- Perform checks and maintain inventory and loan records of AV and PA-related equipment.
- Provide consultation to HOD (ICT) on the AV needs of the school and work with vendors to propose solutions that meet the PA / AVA needs of the school in terms of technical specifications and market pricing.
- Assist the HOD (ICT) in the purchase of AV equipment and services based on schools needs (through bulk tenders, calling tenders and quotations), bearing in mind the Compliance Guidelines for school on Procurement.
- Provide assistance in the condemnation of AV Resources.
- Manage AV equipment in classrooms and all other special rooms and monitor the equipment usage and perform maintenance on a termly basis.
- Perform half yearly preventive maintenance for all standard classroom equipment (projector, visualizer) for teaching and learning in all classrooms.
- Troubleshoot and provide AV solutions; take initiative to explore new ways of solving AV & broadcast related issues.
- Interact and guide students in managing the AV equipment.
Broadcasting (Live / Recorded Events)
- Provide technical support in broadcasting of live events such as the schools Founders Day Service.
- Be familiar with and be able to provide technical support in using different channels of broadcast such as YouTube Live and Facebook Live, with the use of livestream equipment.
- Manage a team of students in running of live event.
- Mentor and train students in running of live event.
Other Duties
- Provide support in the use of video conferencing tools for events such as staff training (supporting entire staff) and synchronous lessons (supporting teachers), as and when needed.
- Provide up-to-date training to teachers and students involved in broadcasting and AV support, as and when needed.
- Provide support in listening comprehension examinations.
- Assist in the troubleshooting of simple IT issues and assist the Desktop Engineers in the diagnosis of IT problems, where possible.
- Provide support to teachers in printing, laminating, duplicating CD and video recording services.
- Possess technical knowledge and skills (e.g. soldering) to perform repairs on devices and tools.
- Provide support to teachers in teaching & learning, as instructed by HOD (ICT).
- Provide assistance in basic video editing.
- Participate in events as and when needed, occasionally on weekends and after office hours.
Requirement:
- relevant certification in audio, video, or media production field;
- 1 year of working experience with AV equipment;
- 1 year of working experience with broadcasting event;
- 1 year of working experience in a school-based environment
Duration / Working hours:
12 months contract (1 Nov 2025 to 31 Oct 2026)
- Mondays to Fridays: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, inclusive of 1 hr lunch break
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
