Job Responsibilities
The personnel will manage all Autostore-related activities, reporting and services to ensure optimal performance and continuous improvement to uphold Autostore efficiency that leads to achieving logistics operational performance targets.
Use statistical and analytical tools to interpret data and generate insights.
Create detailed reports and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.
Use data visualization tools to present data in an easily understandable format.
Monitor the AutoStore system for any operational issues.
Generate regular reports on system efficiency, downtime, and maintenance activities.
Generate weekly/monthly reports and present to warehouse management the trends and deviations impacting the operations, delivery performance, and utilization rate.
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems related to the system and perform root cause analysis to prevent future issues.
Continuous analysis and elimination of sources of error and weak points.
Perform regular system checks to ensure optimal performance.
Schedule and conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Perform basic repairs on the AutoStore system components, including robots, grids, bins, and workstations.
Coordinate with suppliers for complex repairs if necessary.
Closely work with IM, Process Owners, and Warehouse Managers in all corrective actions and improvements to the Autostore.
Analyze system performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Manage and update the software that controls the AutoStore system.
Ensure the integration of the AutoStore system with SAP System.
Train warehouse staff on the proper use of the AutoStore system.
Provide technical support to system users.
Daily housekeeping of Autostore system.
Oversee the inventory of spare parts and order new parts as needed.
Participate in storage and process optimization projects.
Electro-mechanical system error recovery - Perform standard error handling to restore the System back to working condition.
Basic corrective maintenance - Restore the out of alignment sensors or devices back to the right position.
Basic corrective maintenance - Quick replacement of the instrument parts that do not require calibration, parameter setting or changes on the control logic.
Rectification of minor malfunctions and faults within the framework of this Contract.
Escalate to level 2 Swisslog technical support team if the resident engineer fails to restore the system back to working condition.
Provide incident/error reports on a daily basis.
Job Requirements
Minimum ITE or Diploma in Engineering, computer science, logistics, or a related field.
Willingness to work shifts.
Prior 3-5 years experience with automated systems in a warehouse or manufacturing setting is preferred. Experience specifically with AutoStore systems is a significant advantage.
Prior experience in data analysis, preferably in a warehouse and distribution environment.
Knowledge of SAP/WMS/Oracle/Gsuite or equivalent is an added advantage.
