Job summary

COMFORT TRANSPORTATION PTE LTD is seeking an autonomous vehicle test driver for a 1-year contract in Singapore. You will monitor autonomous vehicle systems, report irregularities, and take manual control when necessary to ensure safety.

This role requires a valid Class 3 driving license, at least 3 years of driving experience with a clean record, and the ability to stay focused during long test drives. Willingness to work shifts and participate in safety assessments is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of driving experience with a clean record.
• Valid Class 3 driving license.
• Willingness to undergo a driving skills assessment.
• Basic understanding of vehicle systems or autonomous tech is a plus.
• Ability to remain focused for extended periods.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including shift work, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vehicle behavior, system alerts, and surrounding environment.

• Conduct pre-drive and post-drive vehicle checks.
• Communicate with field teams and support staff to resolve operational issues.
• Document test results, performance data, and report anomalies to the technical team.
• Act as a first responder in case of vehicle malfunction.
• Perform any ad hoc duties assigned.

Job Requirements

• A valid class 3 license
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience with a clean driving record
• Training or experience in defensive driving techniques, including hazard anticipation and accident prevention, is advantageous
• Basic understanding of vehicle systems or autonomous technology is a plus
• Ability to remain focused for extended periods of time
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Willingness to undergo a driving skills assessment to evaluate readiness for manual intervention during autonomous vehicle operations
