Job summary

Grasshopper is seeking a seasoned Trader to join our Trading Team in Singapore. You will trade a proprietary book focused on APAC markets with autonomy and high ownership, working closely with risk, operations and technology.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years on index arb/ETF MM or D1 desks, direct APAC/China experience, and strong Python coding for pricing and monitoring tools. You’ll stay ahead of macro shifts and regulatory changes while maintaining disciplined risk controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years trading on an index arb, ETF MM, or D1 desk with proven profitability.
• Direct experience trading APAC and/or China.
• Strong communication skills to explain strategies to stakeholders.
• Coding proficiency in Python for pricing and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Trade and own a proprietary APAC/China-focused book.
• Calculate fair value across index futures, ETFs and baskets.
• Identify opportunities including ADR, index arbitrage and stat arb.
• Manage risk within firm limits and track corporate actions to adjust pricing.
• Stay current on macro, regulatory and market structure developments.
