Job summary

ComfortDelGro Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking a skilled technician to maintain and repair heavy vehicles, mainly buses, ensuring safety and optimal performance. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and replace components as needed.

Applicants should have knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in heavy buses, be able to read wiring diagrams and service manuals, and hold a Class 3/4 driving license. Teamwork and safety awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance, servicing, and general repair of heavy vehicles to keep them safe and optimized.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify mechanical, electrical, and electronic defects on buses.
• Perform diagnostic checks to identify faults accurately and efficiently.
• Repair components such as engines, transmissions, braking systems, and air-conditioning.
• Carry out electrical wiring, electronic component replacement, fitting, calibration, and testing.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
• Prepare maintenance records, inspection reports, and job documentation.
• Maintain workshop housekeeping and tools.
• Take on ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance, servicing, and general repair works on heavy vehicles (Bus and Truck) including electric material handling equipment and related vehicle systems to ensure they are in safe and optimal operating condition.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify mechanical, electrical, and electronic defects on buses and related systems.

• Perform diagnostic checks using appropriate tools and equipment to identify faults accurately and efficiently.

• Conduct repair and replacement of components such as engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, air-conditioning systems, and other bus-related assemblies.

• Carry out electrical wiring works, electronic component replacement, fitting, calibration, and functional testing.

• Ensure all maintenance and repair work complies with safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and company procedures.

• Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and job documentation.

• Maintain proper housekeeping of workshop areas, tools, and equipment.

• Perform other duties and ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the reporting superior.
