Job description

Ricardo is an established name with 50 years’ experience in the Singapore automotive industry. The group's businesses include car workshop operations (Ricardo Auto Centre Pte Ltd), automotive financing(Ricardo Cars Pte Ltd), insurance services (Ricardo Insurance Agency Pte Ltd), and property-backed financing solutions for SMEs (Ricardo Financial Services Pte Ltd).

We are looking for experienced Automotive Technicians / Senior Automotive Technicians to join our workshop team.

The Role

• Automotive Technician / Senior Automotive Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance servicing and repair of motor vehicles
• Conduct diagnostic checks, troubleshooting, automatic transmission and engine overhaul
• Perform quality checks and road tests on vehicles
• Liaise with Service Advisors on service/repairs-related matters
• Provide support to customer service and workshop
• Maintain facilities and equipment of the workshop
• Any other or ad-hoc assignments by the Workshop Manager

Requirements

• Qualifications in Automotive Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in automotive industry
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of various makes and models of vehicles
• Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
• Able to work independently with high degree of efficiency
• Possess Class 3 driving licence

Remuneration

• Basic salary: from S$2,200, commensurate with experience
• Annual wage supplement (AWS)
• Variable bonus: dependent on company’s and individual’s performance

Other Information

• 5.5-day work week (Mon-Fri: 9am to 6pm, Sat: 9am to 2pm)
• 14 days annual leave
