Job Description

We are hiring a hands-on Automation Technician to support a global healthcare leader’s nutrition manufacturing plant in Singapore. In this role, you will maintain and troubleshoot automated control systems to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient plant operations within a GMP-compliant environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, calibration, and routine checks on PLCs, HMIs, sensors, control panels, and SCADA systems

• Respond to automation-related alarms and support investigations for process deviations

• Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to restore or optimize automation systems during breakdowns or line stoppages

• Support preventive maintenance, software backups, and documentation of automation systems

• Assist in commissioning and testing of new or upgraded automation equipment

• Adhere strictly to GMP, EHS, and site safety policies

Requirements

• NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical or related field

• 1–3 years of experience in automation/controls support, preferably in FMCG, pharma, or food/nutrition manufacturing

• Familiar with PLC-based systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley), HMI operations, and instrumentation basics

• Comfortable with 12-hour rotating shift work (Day/Night)

• Team-oriented, safety-conscious, and strong attention to detail
