Job summary

PERSOL Singapore is seeking an experienced DevOps/Automation Lead to manage and automate infrastructure across non-production and production platforms. You will guide DevOps engineers, deploy automation playbooks, and ensure robust IaC practices using Ansible, Terraform, and GitLab.

The role requires hands-on experience with Linux/Windows administration, scripting, and database management, with a focus on delivering scalable automation solutions within IT Managed Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Diploma in related field
• Hands-on experience with Ansible Automation Platform
• Hands-on experience with Terraform Enterprise
• Hands-on experience with GitLab
• Hands-on experience in automation development, platform build, and platform management
• Managing IaC (Ansible, Terraform, GitLab) in day-to-day operations
• Hands-on experience in cloud DevOps is advantageous
• Strong background in Linux/Unix/Windows administration
• Experience in automation, configuration, and compliance management using Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
• Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and scripting languages
• Strong experience in PostgreSQL, MS SQL, and MySQL
• Sound hands-on experience with scripting languages (Python, Ansible, JavaScript, Perl, Groovy)
• Experience with source code and version control
• Knowledge in developing a playbook using an RPA tool

Responsibilities

• Setup, configure, and manage non-production and production automation platforms.
• Lead development and coordinate with Ops Leads to enable automation; collect requests and guide DevOps/Automation Engineers.
• Migrate and deploy playbooks to operationalize automation use cases to improve productivity.
• Lead design and implementation of DevOps and automation solutions for projects.
• Understand automation specifics in day-to-day IT Managed Services operations.
• Build and maintain an automation playbook using Ansible, Terraform, GitLab and other scripting languages.
• Operationalize automation development to improve productivity.
• Code automated tests and run testing procedures in testing and production environments.
• Code control and versioning of IaC playbooks.
• Manage the setup of the DevOps platform and deployment of automation use cases.
• Manage and operate platforms (Ansible, Terraform, GitLab) and maintain SLA.
• Lead DevOps engineers to develop automation use cases with these platforms.
• Integrate with ITSM tools where applicable.
• Provide presales solution support for automation development.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills and strong passion for programming and automation.
• Show understanding of systems, networking, and development tools.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• 24x7 standby required.
