Job summary

Wanco Manpower Pte Ltd, on behalf of a world-leading semiconductor fabrication client, invites applications for an AMHS technician role in East Singapore. You will support operation and maintenance of Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) in a cleanroom environment, monitor systems, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and coordinate with equipment vendors.

The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics, hands-on experience with mechanical/electrical

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical or electrical systems.
• Experience with semiconductor fab AMHS systems such as Muratec or Daifuku.
• Familiarity with SCADA, MES or equipment monitoring tools.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams.
• Knowledge of automation, robotics or material handling equipment helpful.
• Good problem-solving skills and teamwork, attention to detail.
• Able to work in a cleanroom or industrial environment.
• Able to work at height with ladders, platforms and safety harnesses.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily AMHS operations to ensure smooth material flow.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on OHT, OHS, stockers, conveyors and related equipment.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and software issues.
• Respond promptly to system alarms and equipment failures to minimise downtime.
• Coordinate with vendors and equipment suppliers on repairs and updates.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, faults and actions.
• Support continuous improvement projects to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or vendors.
• Follow safety protocols and company operating procedures.

The client is the world leading semiconductor fabrication provider with presence in Singapore for over 20 years. Below position is open urgently.

Location: East Singapore

Working Hour: 12-hour shift work

About the Role:

Support the operation and maintenance of Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. You will help maintain smooth material flow through system monitoring, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and coordination with equipment vendors.

What You Will Do

• Monitor daily AMHS operations to ensure smooth material flow.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on overhead hoist transport (OHT), overhead shuttle (OHS), stockers, conveyors and related equipment.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and software-related system issues.
• Respond promptly to system alarms and equipment failures to minimise downtime.
• Coordinate with vendors and equipment suppliers on repairs and system updates.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, faults and corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement projects to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or equipment vendors.
• Follow safety protocols and company operating procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical or electrical systems; relevant internships and industrial training are recognised.
• Experience with semiconductor fab AMHS systems, such as Muratec, Daifuku or similar systems.
• Familiarity with SCADA, MES or equipment monitoring tools.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of automation, robotics or material handling equipment is preferred.
• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, communication and teamwork.
• Able to work in a cleanroom or industrial environment.
• Able to perform work at height using ladders, mobile platforms and safety harnesses in accordance with safety procedures.
