Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Singapore is offering an Automation Internship within the Facility Engineering team. You will explore facility operations, document workflows, and identify opportunities for digitalization and automation under mentor guidance.

You will gain exposure to facility utility systems, data analytics, and process improvement projects, delivering an Automation Opportunity Assessment Report and recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an engineering degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial/Automation/Mechatronics or related).
• Basic MS Office proficiency; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willing to commit to at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Learn fundamentals of Facility Engineering operations and utility systems.
• Document daily operational and maintenance activities.
• Map current workflows and identify manual processes.
• Analyze data from facility systems, maintenance records, and reports.
• Support development of dashboards, reports and automation solutions.
