Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Engineer, Automation (Controls) to design, develop, and support machine-level automation for manufacturing operations in Singapore. The role leads automation projects, implements MES integrations, and collaborates with vendors to improve machine performance, production efficiency, and data visibility.

You will work with Process Engineering, Design Process Engineering, technicians, and equipment vendors to drive innovation and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering.
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming and configuration (Omron, Beckhoff).
• Experience in OPC software (Kepware, Ignition), SQL DB and python scripting.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement electrical and control systems for machines and automation cells (PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors).
• Implement MES integrations at machine level using Kepware and Ignition; ensure reliable data flow to plant systems and historians.
• Ensure data integrity of production dashboards data.
• Lead buy-off processes for machines with vendors; overseas travel required.
• Mentor and support electricians and controls technicians; foster continuous learning.
