Job summary

Molex Singapore is seeking an Automation Engineer (Controls) to design, develop, and support machine-level automation and control systems for our manufacturing operations. You will lead automation projects, implement MES integrations, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to improve machine performance, production efficiency, and data visibility.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Electronic Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering.
Hands-on experience with PLC programming and configuration, including Omron and Beckhoff platforms.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement electrical and control systems for machines and automation cells.
Implement and maintain MES integrations at machine level using Kepware and Ignition.
Ensure data integrity of production dashboards data and machine data analytics.
Collaborate with vendors to ensure standards are met and issues are resolved.
Lead buy-off processes for machines with vendors; overseas travel may be required.
Mentor electrical and controls technicians to foster growth and continuous learning.
