Roles & Responsibilities

As an Automation Engineer, you will be involved in:

1. Studying & understanding the specifications of customer requirements/needs
2. Customer on-site assessment and troubleshooting
3. Brainstorming proposals to address customer requirements/needs
4. Sourcing/selecting compatible components for the proposed design
5. Preparation of estimated budget for the proposed design
6. Conducting design review sessions
7. Detailing of design with GT&T, material selection, heat treatment & finishing
8. Preparation of Bill of Materials (fabrication & commercial)
9. Preparation of assembly & pneumatic drawings
10. Assisting in assembly & troubleshooting of sub-modules
11. Testing & troubleshooting of equipment
12. Assisting in buyoff of equipment
13. Preparation of operation manual
14. Fundamental project management

Desired Skill Sets

• Diploma/Degree in mechatronics, mechanical or electronics engineering
• Min. 2 to 3 years of experience in automation/semiconductor sector
• Ability to understand electrical & pneumatic circuitry drawings
• Experience in wiring and soldering
• Experience in basic circuitry design is a plus
• Experience in field service engineering is a plus
• Leadership and project management skills
• Knowledge in programming & embedded systems (e.g., Arduino, Python, C++, C#, RPI, etc.)
• Knowledge in drafting & simulation software (AutoCAD, NanoCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, etc.)
