Job summary

PASONA SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an Automation & Control Engineer to design and optimize industrial automation using PLCs, robotics, motion control and vision technologies.

You will develop PLC programs, select electrical components, and support the integration of Vision Systems, Robots and AGVs while coordinating with HQ and overseas partners. Willingness to travel is a plus for project support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Motion Control, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in motion control, automation or machine control systems
• Minimum 2 years in mechanical or mechatronics engineering with hands-on mechanical design support
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of PLC programming, servo systems, robots and motion control technologies
• Able to analyse technical issues and work collaboratively to develop practical solutions
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel when required
• Experience in Semiconductor, Display or Secondary Battery industries will have an added advantage
• Experience in machine builders or manufacturing environments are preferred

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize industrial automation solutions using PLC and robotics.
• Support the design and development of automation solutions using PLC, Robot, Motion Control and Vision technologies.
• Assist in the selection and preparation of electrical components and purchase lists for automation control systems
• Participate in automation projects involving machine improvement, cycle time reduction and productivity enhancement
• Develop, modify and troubleshoot PLC programs to ensure stable machine operations
• Support the programming and integration of Vision Systems, Robots, AGVs and Servo Systems
• Collect machine execution timing data, prepare timing charts and assist in cycle time analysisProvide technical support and troubleshooting to internal stakeholders and customers
• Coordinate with internal departments, HQ and overseas subsidiaries to resolve technical issues
• Liaise with suppliers and customers, including those based in China, on technical matters
• Prepare technical documentation, reports and project-related records
