Job description

  • Responsible for developing and executing the department's strategic plan, aligning it with the Company's objectives and risk management priorities.

  • Oversees the development of the annual audit plan, ensuring that it addresses key risks, regulatory requirements, and management priorities. Allocate resources, assign audit engagements, and supervise the execution of audits to ensure they are conducted effectively and efficiently.

  • Leads risk assessment activities, identifying and evaluating key risks across the Company. Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, ensuring compliance with policies, laws, and regulations.

  • Responsible for managing and developing the internal audit team. Recruit, train, and mentor staff members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and expertise to perform their duties. Provides ongoing feedback, conducts performance evaluations, and promotes a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Prepares and manages the department's budget, allocating resources effectively to support audit activities.

  • Interacts with Senior Management and other stakeholders to communicate audit plans, findings, and recommendations. Build and maintain effective relationships, facilitate discussions, and address concerns or inquiries related to internal audit activities.

  • Prepares comprehensive audit reports that summarize audit findings, recommendations, and action plans. Communicate audit results to senior management, providing insights and guidance for decision-making and risk management.

  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies within the organization. Evaluate and enhance governance processes, internal controls, and risk management practices, making recommendations for improvement and ensuring adherence to ethical standards.

  • Drives continuous improvement within the Internal Audit department. Evaluate and enhance audit methodologies, tools, and processes, staying updated on emerging trends and best practices in the field of internal auditing.

  • Undertake any other assignments, which may be assigned from time to time
