Job summary

EQ SG Assurance PAC in Singapore is seeking an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join our growing assurance team. You will manage audit engagements, lead engagement teams and work closely with the Engagement Partner to deliver high-quality audit services.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CPA or in final stages) and at least five years of external audit experience, including supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• CA (Singapore), ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification, or in final stages of obtaining it.
• Minimum of five years of external audit experience, including supervisory or managerial responsibility.
• Hands-on experience in managing complex group audits and reviewing consolidation workings is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of group accounting, business combinations, non-controlling interests, foreign currency translation and consolidation adjustments.
• Experience coordinating with component auditors and reviewing group reporting packages is advantageous.
• Solid knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and Singapore Standards on Auditing.
• Experience managing statutory audit engagements and leading audit teams.
• Strong project-management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
• Professional and independent work ethic with high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage audit engagements in consultation with the Engagement Partner.
• Develop audit strategy and ensure engagements comply with auditing standards and firm policies.
• Lead and supervise engagement teams, allocate work and monitor timelines.
• Review audit working papers and financial statements to address and document audit issues.
• Perform complex audit procedures and resolve accounting and auditing matters.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations clearly to clients and the Engagement Partner.
