Overview:

As an AV Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audiovisual equipment for various events, presentations, conferences, and meetings. Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of AV systems to facilitate effective communication and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Setup and Installation: Install, configure, and set up AV equipment including projectors, screens, sound systems, microphones, speakers, and video conferencing systems. Ensure proper cabling and integration of components.
  2. Operation and Support: Operate AV equipment during events, troubleshoot issues, and provide on-site support. Assist presenters and organizers with AV equipment usage.
  3. Maintenance and Upkeep: Conduct routine checks, perform repairs, and manage inventory of AV equipment.
  4. Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality audio and video output, calibrate and test equipment for optimal performance.
  5. Technical Expertise: Keep updated on latest AV technologies and suggest upgrades.
  6. Collaboration and Communication: Work with event planners and clients to meet AV requirements and coordinate setup schedules.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Class 3 License
  • Preferably residing in the WEST area
  • Proven experience as an AV Technician
  • Proficiency with AV equipment and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of AV principles and protocols
  • Familiarity with AV software and control systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and high service quality
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours and weekends
Education and Certifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred
  • Certifications like CTS are desirable
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and move heavy AV equipment
  • Stamina for extended standing and climbing ladders
  • Manual dexterity for handling small components
