Job summary

Madame Tussauds in Singapore is seeking a Technician to maintain the attraction’s technical systems, equipment, exhibits and facilities, ensuring a safe, reliable, and high-quality guest experience. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and support installation work and project tasks.

The role requires a technical discipline background (NITEC or equivalent) and willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• NITEC, Higher NITEC, diploma, or equivalent qualification in electrical, electronic, mechanical, Building facility, audio-visual, or a related technical discipline.
• Fresh graduates from technical field are welcome
• Previous basic experience in facilities maintenance, attractions, entertainment venues, museums, hotels, retail environments, or similar operations.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, electrical test equipment, and maintenance software.
• Relevant electrical, safety, work-at-height, or equipment-operation certification would be an advantage

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily technical inspections before the attraction opens.
• Respond quickly to technical incidents during operating hours
• Communicate equipment faults, operational risks, and repair requirements to the Technical Manager.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to the planned maintenance schedule.
• Troubleshoot equipment faults and complete repairs promptly to minimise operational downtime.
• Identify recurring faults and recommend practical improvements to increase equipment reliability.
• Record inspections, maintenance activities, faults, repairs, and spare-parts usage accurately.
• Maintain tools, workshops, technical rooms, and storage areas in a safe and organised condition.
• Assist contractors and external service providers during maintenance and project work.
• Support events, promotional activities, photo opportunities, and special attraction programmes when required.
• Assist with emergency procedures, evacuation support, and business-continuity activities.
• Perform other reasonable technical duties assigned by management.
