Job summary

Lonza Biologics Tuas Pte. Ltd. (Singapore) offers a 15‑month Career Conversion Program (CCP) with structured on‑the‑job training at our Tuas site. The role supports environmental monitoring, microbiology testing, and cGMP‑compliant reporting to ensure the highest quality in medicine manufacturing.

The program emphasizes collaboration, real‑time problem solving, and development of technical skills in bioburden, LAL, plating, assay trends, and QC equipment qualification. Day shift, on‑site work.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant science field or equivalent.
  • Experience in a biotech or medically related field.
  • Knowledge of cGMP regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and perform testing/analysis to support business needs.
  • Analyze bulk product according to SOPs and test methods.
  • Document results in compliance with cGMP.
  • Troubleshoot analytical methods and equipment.
  • Involve in method transfers and validation.
  • Assist in equipment qualification and QC equipment selection.
  • Perform assay trend analysis and document revisions.
  • Provide general lab support and inventory management.

Job description

The Career Conversion Program (CCP) training period lasts for 15 months. Structured on-the-job training (OJT) will be provided and conducted at the participating companies to facilitate the application of learning and to ensure that individuals acquire necessary competencies to perform at their job.

The role is required to have an understanding and execution of intermediate and advanced microbiology techniques (bioburden, LAL, plating and counting techniques, microbial identification, EM tests i.e. air sampling, surface viable sampling, total particulate sampling etc.). Collecting environmental monitoring samples from different areas of the facilities, generation of required trending and reporting information. Role is also responsible to assist in process and/ or environmental microbiology related investigations as required.

This is a fully site‑based role at Singapore Tuas and required to perform day shift. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you'll do:
  • To prioritize and perform the various testing/analysis in timely manner, in order to support the business requirements.
  • Analysis of bulk product according to Standard Operating Procedures and Test Methods.
  • Documentation of results in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Problem solving of analytical methods as well as troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Involvement in method transfers and validation.
  • Involved in equipment qualification and technical selection of QC equipment and/or standards and reagents.
  • Assay trend analysis, document revision and update.
  • General lab support including housekeeping, equipment maintenance, inventory of supplies, lab supplies ordering, management of glass wares, autoclaving etc.

  • Degree in a relevant Science field or Equivalent.
  • Relevant Lab related experience in a biotech or medically related field.
  • Relevant experience and accomplishment to dictate final position for which the candidate may qualify.
  • Well versed in cGMP regulations.
  • Knowledge of area specific responsibilities.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills.
