Job summary

Siemens Mobility invites a hands-on engineer to contribute to rail software projects in APAC, based in Singapore. You will participate in design discussions with customers and internal teams, generate design documents, and support testing and commissioning of new software releases on site.

The role emphasizes collaboration across international teams, handling cybersecurity testing, and contributing to project execution for APAC rail programs.

Qualifications

• Degree (Master or Diploma) in IT/ electronics engineering.
• Experience with Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) for CBTC GoA 4 projects.
• Experience in Linux-based environments and reading technical requirements.
• Fluent English and strong communication with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Design discussions with customers and Siemens teams.
• Produce and update design documentation as progress occurs.
• Maintain and test environments, install and test new software releases onsite.
• Analyze faults, coordinate corrections, and track action plans.
• Interface with local and offshore teams to resolve issues.

Your Role – Impactful, Meaningful And Future-Oriented

• Design discussions with customer and Siemens teams.
• Documents generation and updates based on the design progress along the project execution.
• Usage and maintenance of the testing environments.
• Onsite installation and testing of the new software releases.
• Faults and defects analysis and follow up on the corrections.
• Interface with the local team and the offshore team to follow up on the corrections and analysis of the issues.
• Generation of reports to keep track of the outstanding issues and action plan to resolve them.
• Participation in the Testing and Commissioning activities.
• Participation in the ATS Application Data preparation.
• Participation in cybersecurity testing activities.
• All those previous activities will be executed under the different Siemens projects in APAC region (CRL, JRL, DTL).

Your Qualifications And Skills – Digital And Solid

• Degree (Master / Diploma) in technical engineering, preferably in IT / electronics engineering.
• Demonstrable technical knowledge and experience on Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) for CBTC GoA 4 Projects.
• Experience in working with Linux-based environments.
• Experience in reading and understanding technical requirements to generate design documentation.
• Experience in customer-oriented projects.
• Interest in working with different software tools to implement project specific ATS data and configuration.
• Knowledge of engineering processes and communication skills to interface different departments and customer.
• General cybersecurity knowledge (cryptography, standards, hardening, …).
• Willing to work as team member in international projects.
• Fluent English is essential.
