Duties & Responsibilities:
Service Skills
- Provide technical support to customers and field teams either on-site or through phone or email.
- Support the installation of test systems and upgrades, including options and software upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and repair systems at customer sites.
- Provide remote assistance for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Participate in cost reduction and productivity improvement programs.
- Assist peers with call services where necessary.
- Must be able to travel frequently and on short notice.
Application Skills
- Work with customers to understand and help solve their test requirements.
- Create reproducible test cases when systems pass checkers and fail devices, to facilitate improvements at factories or repair centers.
- Troubleshoot and isolate handler/prober interface and communication issues.
- Able to troubleshoot down to load-board level.
- Assist customers in device failure analysis by analyzing failure patterns and causes.
- Build and deliver demonstrations and/or training to customers.
- Develop semiconductor device test programs from scratch.
- Participate in the design and review of device-under-test interfaces (load boards, probe cards, BIB, SLT application boards).
- Utilize AI in application engineering.
Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education:
- More than 5 years of experience in semiconductor design or testing environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering or related field; minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of MS OS and Office 365.
- Basic understanding of C, C++, scripting languages (Perl, Python, Shell, etc.).
- Experience in customer support, especially under pressure.
- Structured problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated to pursue technical knowledge.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
