Asst Manager/Senior Officer-HPC Resource Management (Strategic Planning and Engagement), NSCC

As an Assistant Manager/Senior Officer in Strategic Planning and Engagement, you will be part of a high-performing, dynamic team that works cross-functionally on strategy development and industry engagement. Our mission is to position NSCC Singapore as a National Research Infrastructure (NRI) supporting key national R&D programs and research projects to achieve significant economic and scientific outcomes for Singapore. The role requires team members to be self-driven, energetic, positive, and eager to learn.

Job scope:

  • Support the implementation of HPC resource allocation policies by engaging with the research community, including research institutions, research offices, and research performers, to keep them informed of policies and Calls for Projects via website updates, EDMs, and emails.
  • Assist in the administration of Calls for Projects, from announcement to management of applications and onboarding of new research projects.
  • Engage with research performers to understand their requirements, recommend training needs, and provide support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate training that helps researchers meet their objectives.
  • Manage research performers' requests and queries related to computing needs.
  • Update and track research performers' utilization, establishing systematic reporting and billing structures, working closely with TechOps and Finance teams.
  • Collect completed project deliverables and work with internal teams to identify potential use cases.
  • Compile figures and statistics, perform basic analysis, and produce summary reports for management and committee reviews.
  • Administer billing for compute resources and liaise with Research Offices.
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Strategy, Planning, and Engagement, including preparing agendas and minutes, scheduling meetings, and monitoring project timelines.
  • Maintain a high level of self-motivation, continuously updating knowledge in national research initiatives, HPC, AI, quantum computing, and other emerging trends. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualification & Field of Study

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Administration, IT, or equivalent.

Minimum Years of Experience

  • 2-3 years in business analytics and/or project management, with a background or interest in IT and grant call administration.

Other Requirements

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand complex technical jargon.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Analytical skills to interpret complex issues and convey clear summaries.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines accurately.
  • Effective team player with the capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong willingness to learn, adapt, and grow professionally.
  • Experience in research grant administration, engagement with government agencies, or high-tech sectors is advantageous.
