Summary:

Participate in development team in planning and coordinating with respective Stakeholders, working closely with consultants to ensure that the Hospital/entity’s operational requirements and efficiencies, and are in line with the Group’s overall strategic direction.

The incumbent shall lead in technical coordination meetings, stakeholder review sessions as well as project alignment processes to streamline and implement processes and protocols for the timely delivery of the hospital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership and provide support to guide users in design and planning of hospital and facilitating useful and productive discussions during design, construction and post construction stage. This includes cross coordination with aspects such as medical equipment and facilities maintenance.


A key aspect is to guide users, which may not be as familiar in design and planning of M & E facilities to help translate M & E technical terms that could facilitate productive discussions during these sessions.

  • Support in leading, planning, organising and coordinating architectural, medical planners, interior design and MEP requirements and discussions for the hospital.
  • Support and track, ensure project requirements are gathered in timely manner including liaison/coordination with multiple stakeholders (consultants, employer’s agent, users, contractors, etc.) so to meet the overall project timeline.
  • Support, coordinate, manage to ensure users’ requirements are duly captured and resolved, obtaining approvals from users during various design stages including sign offs for milestone documents and reports, and ensuring that records of discussions are correctly and accurately captured.
  • Support and involve in budgetary planning and control discussions, to ensure that proposed designs keep within time and approved budget.
  • To work closely with project team members on the followings:
  • Administrate the project in a structured and compliant manner.
  • Ensure that the processes are aligned with prevailing cluster and institution policies, and documentation are robust and comprehensive.
  • Coordinate and sharing of information.
  • Keep abreast of healthcare planning topics and issues, to support the hospital development in the desired direction.
  • Secretariat roles and responsibilities.
  • Any other duties assigned for the hospital development.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Engineering/Building Sciences or equivalent.
  • At least 5years of relevant work experience, preferably with project management experience.
  • Candidates with healthcare background highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership qualities and strategic planning capabilities. (for Manager level & above)
  • Good analytical skills and project management skills.
  • Team player with good interpersonal, communication skills to collaborate and manage with various Stakeholders.
  • Good time management on tasks allocated, resourceful, self-motivated, driven with the ability to multi-tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
