Job Description
The Office of Admissions (OAM) oversees full-time undergraduate admissions, scholarships, and financial aid. Reporting to the Provost's Office, OAM develops and implements policies and operations related to undergraduate admissions and the award of scholarships and financial aid, and markets the University's undergraduate programmes. The administration of scholarships and financial aid is handled by the Office of Financial Aid (OFA) which is within OAM.

The officer will primarily be responsible for the planning and management of NUS financial aid schemes and the MOE Tuition Grant.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Manage University and external financial aid schemes including applications processing, offers, reviews, appeals, and fund disbursement.
  2. Assist with the review, planning, and implementation of systems and policies.
  3. Manage the MOE Tuition Grant Scheme.
  4. Assist in the publicity of the financial aid schemes.
  5. Prepare comprehensive statistics and budget reports to support scholarship and financial aid planning and decision-making, as required.
  6. Guide and supervise team members in their work.
  7. Provide advisory to prospective and existing students applying for scholarships and financial aid.
  8. Participate in outreach events and activities.
  9. Perform any other tasks as necessary or as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  1. A recognised university degree in any discipline.
  2. Experience in scholarship and financial aid administration is preferred.
  3. Meticulous, strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  4. Good team player, resourceful, and able to work well under pressure.
  5. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
