Job Purpose

Asst.General Manager – Sales & Marketing

We are looking for a blend of strategic visionary and hands-on executor to lead our FMCG business in Singapore. This role demands someone who can simultaneously craft high-level growth strategies while diving deep into daily operations to drive execution. He/Shewill be responsible fordeveloping and executing business strategies to accelerate revenue growth, enhance market share, and optimize brand performance. This role requires astrategic thinker with deep FMCG expertise, strong leadership skills, and ameticulous, data-driven approachto decision-making. The ideal candidate must behighly adaptable, commercially astute, and possess unwavering integritywhile leading teams to exceed business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

  • Define and implement theoverall sales & marketing strategyfor Singapore, ensuring alignment with regional/global business objectives.

  • Driverevenue growth, profitability, and market expansionthrough innovative sales and marketing initiatives.

  • Analyzemarket trends, competitor activities, and consumer insightsto identify new opportunities and mitigate risks.

  • Leadpricing strategies, trade promotions, and channel optimizationto maximize ROI.

2. Sales Management & Key Account Leadership

  • Oversee theentire sales function, includingmodern trade, general trade, e-commerce, and HORECAchannels.

  • Build and maintainstrong relationships with key accounts(supermarkets, distributors, wholesalers, and B2B clients).

  • Ensureeffective sales forecasting, budgeting, and trade spend management.

  • Implementperformance-driven sales incentivesand KPIs to motivate the team.

  • Strong network with major retailers (NTUC FairPrice, Dairy Farm Group, Amazon, Lazada, etc.).

  • Familiarity with e-commerce and omnichannel sales strategies.

3. Brand & Marketing Excellence

  • Leadbrand positioning, marketing campaigns, and digital strategiesto enhance brand equity and consumer engagement.

  • Collaborate withproduct development and supply chain teamsto ensure product availability and innovation.

  • OptimizeATL & BTL marketing efforts, includingsocial media, influencer partnerships, and in-store activations.

  • Monitormarketing ROIand adjust strategies based on analytics and performance metrics.

4. Operational & Financial Oversight

  • ManageP&L responsibility, ensuring cost efficiency and profitability across sales & marketing activities.

  • Implementbest-in-class sales processes and reporting mechanisms.

  • Ensure compliance withtrade policies, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance.

5. Team Leadership & Development

  • Build ahigh-performance culture, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Recruit, train, and mentortop-tier sales & marketing talent.

  • Work closely withcross-functional teams (Finance, Supply Chain, HR)to drive business success.

Qualifications & Competencies

Essential Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive experienceinFMCG sales & marketing, with at least5 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Proven track recordin driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and managing key retail/distribution partnerships.

  • Strongcommercial acumenwith expertise intrade marketing, pricing strategies, and route-to-market optimization.

  • Data-driven mindset– proficient insales analytics, market research, and financial modeling.

  • Exceptionalnegotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and execution-focused– able to balancestrategic vision with operational excellence.

  • High integrity, resilience, and a goal-driven attitude– thrives under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree inBusiness, Marketing, or related field.
