The External Managers Department seeks to identify and develop relationships with best-in-class global investment managers to benefit GIC at large, while capturing investment opportunities to outperform our benchmarks.
We are looking for an experienced candidate to join our Global Markets team as a Portfolio Manager, focusing on Discretionary Global Macro. We are open to hiring at Associate, AVP or VP level, the mandate is the same, but the scope of ownership differs. The role is based in Singapore.
You will help build and run a portfolio of discretionary global macro exposures, forming views, sizing positions, structuring mandates, and owning the outcome. Every member of the team is accountable for the risk they take and the returns it produces.
You will see the full global macro landscape, with direct senior-level dialogue with the most sought-after macro managers globally. You will also gain exposure across multi-asset, fixed income, multi-strategy, platforms, and fund-of-funds; your commercial range compounds rather than narrows.
