Associate Vice President, Analyst - Wealth, Group Strategy Transformation Analytics and Research

Job Purpose

To support data-driven decision-making for DBS products, processes, and business through the creation of data dashboards, infographics, and models based on business requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Identify insights and opportunities for Wealth Business growth, and communicate results and ideas to key decision-makers.
• Conduct regular portfolio health check-ups through Business Insights, identifying areas of growth and sluggishness within the Wealth portfolio.
• Drive insight-led actions to help achieve Wealth portfolio targets.
• Support the business in meeting budgets through analytical insights; assist stakeholders in business reviews.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Engage with Wealth Business and Product teams to formulate problems and create solution frameworks.
• End-to-end execution from data collection, analysis, feature engineering, model development, implementation (including testing), and monitoring.
• Work with large datasets and distributed Big Data Platforms for advanced analytics solutions, including recommendation engines, customer segmentation, graph models, pricing, and propensity models.
• Hands-on experience in PySpark, Python, SQL, and team management.
• Understand product journeys and help improve customer experience.
• Knowledge of building statistical learning models using AI/ML techniques is an advantage.

Required Experience

• Strong academic background.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, focused, and well-organized.
• Creative and strategic thinker.
• 12-15 years of experience in analytics within banking, e-commerce, retail, telecom, or technology sectors, with a proven track record of generating value through data insights influencing business decisions.
• Understanding of Wealth products and business problems.
• Proficiency in PySpark, Python, SQL.
• Good understanding of analytics, data, and modeling tools.
• Effective communication skills.

Education / Preferred Experience

• BSc./M.Sc. or equivalent in Statistics, Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or related fields.
• Prior experience in analytics is mandatory.
