Job summary

SAS in Singapore is seeking an Associate Technical Consultant to join our Asia Pacific Consulting team. You will work with experienced consultants to implement SAS solutions addressing data management, analytics, risk, AI and decisioning.

You will participate in deployment, configure ETL, develop SQL, support installation, migrations, and create technical docs while growing SAS tech and cloud architecture expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IS/Engineering/Math/Stats.
• Experience with data integration, ETL, or tech consulting projects.
• Experience writing SQL queries with relational databases.
• Understanding of data management, warehousing or data engineering.
• Knowledge of Linux or Unix.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication of technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively in project-based consulting.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the implementation and deployment of SAS software and solutions.
• Configure, test and support data integration, ETL and data engineering processes.
• Develop and optimise SQL queries, data mappings and transformation logic.
• Support system installation, configuration and environment validation.
• Assist with data migration, integration and deployment across customer environments.

• Follow security policies to support secure software development.

About the job

We're looking for an Associate Technical Consultant to join our Consulting team in Asia Pacific. In this role, you will work alongside experienced consultants and architects to implement SAS solutions that help customers solve complex business challenges across data management, analytics, risk, fraud, compliance, AI and decisioning.

You will contribute to the successful delivery of customer projects through hands-on technical implementation, configuration, testing and deployment activities while building expertise in SAS technology and industry solutions.

As anAssociate Technology Consultant, you will:

• Participate in the implementation and deployment of SAS software and solutions.
• Configure, test and support data integration, ETL and data engineering processes.
• Develop and optimise SQL queries, data mappings and transformation logic.
• Support system installation, configuration and environment validation activities.
• Assist with data migration, integration and deployment activities across customer environments.
• Create clear technical documentation, test plans and implementation deliverables.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and support defect resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with consultants, architects, project managers and customer stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
• Support knowledge transfer and transition-to-support activities following project implementation.
• Continue developing expertise in SAS technologies, cloud architectures and industry solutions.
• Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline.
• Experience working with data integration, ETL processes, software implementation or technical consulting projects.
• Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
• Understanding of data management, data warehousing or data engineering principles.
• Knowledge of Linux or Unix operating systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a project-based consulting environment.
• Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Additional competencies, knowledge and skills

• Experience with data engineering or enterprise data platforms.
• Exposure to cloud technologies, containers or Kubernetes.
• Experience with APIs and system integration.
• Knowledge of Python, Java or other programming languages.
• Experience supporting enterprise software implementations.
• Financial services or regulated-industry experience.
• Additional language capabilities, including Mandarin or Japanese, are a plus (but not mandatory) to liaise with stakeholders in China or Japan regions.
