Job Description

  • Support and advocate for Visa clients comprised of financial institutions and vendors.
  • Properly escalate incidents promptly per support guidelines and procedures.
  • Proactively monitor, recognize, analyze, isolate, and resolve VOCC outages utilizing a variety of tools and techniques.
  • Internal and external bridge stewardship in support of timely resolution of internal and client-facing issues.
  • Work simultaneously and independently on multiple platforms.
  • Assess the impact of incidents and communicate appropriately within set time frames without guidance.
  • Support scheduled changes.

Work Hours: This position requires the candidate to work 12-hour shift work during the day (with a 2-week rotation). When scheduled, weekend and public holiday work may be required.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of work experience.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently (self-starter).
  • Accepts responsibility for own workload and seeks guidance when needed.
  • Ability to make decisions, present recommendations, and handle moderate challenges.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ownership of incident resolution.
  • Ability to assess urgency, analyze, and apply problem-solving techniques.
  • Client-focused with ability to interact across management levels.
  • Basic knowledge of networking and message flow.
  • Exposure to Unix/bash scripting, API monitoring, log reading, and monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus.
  • Experience with ITIL practices, ServiceNow, and file transfer protocols is a plus.
  • Experience with ISO 8583 messaging protocol is desirable.
  • Associates degree in a related field or 2 years of industry experience; 2+ years in tech industry is a plus.
