Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking an Associate Software Engineer in Singapore to design, develop, and maintain high-performance risk metric workflows within The Core Engineering. You will deliver scalable data pipelines, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to AI-enabled, cloud-first systems supporting Corporate Treasury risk management.

Qualifications

• Min. 4 years of hands-on software development experience building and scaling enterprise-level systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with backend technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Python.
• Experience with modern SDLC practices (CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews).
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
• Experience implementing or integrating AI-enabled tools or platforms.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to dive into proprietary systems and uplift them.
• Strong communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable metrics engines and high-throughput data processes for risk metrics.
• Engineer complex risk workflows to evaluate scenarios and define risk appetites.
• Contribute to AI-driven, cloud-first architecture for resiliency and scalability.
• Write clean, production-ready code and perform platform uplifts.
• Follow SDLC best practices, write unit tests, and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with quantitative engineers, tech leads, and product managers to implement architecture.
