Job summary

A leading financial institution in Singapore seeks an experienced finance professional for regulatory reporting. Key duties include preparing and ensuring compliance of regulatory returns, as well as participation in projects to improve reporting processes. The ideal candidate has a degree in Accounting, 5-10 years of relevant experience, and strong analytical skills. Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with QlikView and SQL is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimally 5 - 10 years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • Knowledge of MAS regulatory reporting requirements is an added advantage.
  • Working experience with the big 4 public accounting firm is a plus.

We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.

Job Purpose

This role sits in Group Finance Regulatory Reporting Team. The key responsibilities of the team include thepreparation of regulatory returns and compliancereporting to MAS and internal management. To ensure that these reports are accurate, timely, and comply with regulatory and statutory requirements

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the delivery of regulatory returnsand compliance reporting to MAS and internal management
  • Ensure that all regulatory returns and compliance reporting are prepared accurately and timely, and in compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare regulatory reports as assigned, perform variance analysis and address queries from the regulators, business or support units; follow up and resolve any problems / issues relating to regulatory reporting
  • Participate in projects and initiatives, which involve process reviews, system enhancements and new systems implementation, that impact regulatory reports and system, aswellas to improve the regulatory reporting process
  • Implement procedures and internal controls over the preparation of various regulatory reports
  • Handle ad-hoc assignments when necessary
Requirements:
  • A good degree in a Accounting with minimally 5 - 10 years of relevant experience
  • Good accounting skills with knowledge of IFRS and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards
  • Good knowledge of financial products and services and in the area of financial instruments will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of MAS regulatory reporting requirements is an added advantage
  • Strong team player who is mature and able to communicate at all levels
  • Keen analytical skills, meticulous and attention to details
  • Comfortable dealing with high volume of data and financial numbers
  • Working experience with the big 4 public accounting firm is an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office applications. Hands-on experience with QlikView and SQL is preferred.
  • Able to work under pressure and interested in developing a career in a dynamic banking environment
