Introduction

The Corporate Finance team tracks and evaluates the performance of the portfolio and the sub-portfolio strategies, monitors the investment allocation and liquidity, and perform insight generating portfolio analytical projects. These are done in conjunction with proprietary analytical applications built in house.

The position is focused on performance analytics and reporting. Performance analytics, includes explaining what investment strategies have worked and solving for questions that senior management has. The goal is to help shape and build a resilient portfolio that helps the fulfilment of our purpose: “So Every Generation Prospers”.

We are looking for someone who is business oriented and is passionate with working with large amount of data to generate insights to support decision making. This role would also ideally have a good understanding of data systems/processes and work with developers to develop and enhance analytical applications.

Responsibilities

To provide support on both capital allocation, liquidity analysis and portfolio analytics

This Includes

  • Prepare regular updates for senior management
    • Track actual capital cashflow against plan
    • Respond to queries involving liquidity and capital allocation
  • Provide support on the Annual Investment Plan including:
    • Prepare consolidation templates and review submissions from teams
    • Support crafting presentation materials
  • Prepare and analyze portfolio exposure/analytics, including Temasek Review
    • Craft and enhance disclosure materials
  • Maintain and follow up on enhancement of in house analytical application.
Work With Vendors And Other Teams To

  • Test system logic and feature
  • Clean data and check data transformation and output

Requirements

  • Master or Bachelor degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting, from an accredited university
  • 2 - 3 years of working experience, with exposure to budgeting and portfolio analysis, ideally in the asset management industry. Candidates with big 4 audit experience are welcomed.
  • Good analytical and communication skills.
  • Team player with good work ethic
  • Able to multi-task, work independently under pressure and tight timelines
  • Understanding of financial concepts and able to appreciate basic coding would be beneficial.
  • Strong MS excel modeling and power point skills.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg and Capital IQ preferred
