NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SINGAPORE invites applications for an Associate Scientist to participate in Experimental Propulsion research. The successful candidate will contribute to experiment design, data acquisition and data analysis as needed.

The role requires a strong background in Fluid/Gas Dynamics and Aerospace Propulsion, plus the ability to work independently and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering with fluid/gas dynamics background.
• Strong background in aerospace propulsion.
• Experience with experimental techniques in fluid dynamics.

Qualifications

We invite motivated researchers with the following relevant qualifications and experience to join us as Associate Scientists.

The applicant should possess a Bachelor or Master's degree in the area of Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field with a strong background in Fluid/Gas Dynamics and Aerospace Propulsion.

The applicant must have a comprehensive knowledge of the common experimental techniques employed in fluid dynamics research, such as the measurement of flow velocity, pressure, temperature and combustion diagnostics. Necessary skills associated with the design of experiments, data acquisition and analysis will be required.

Ability to work independently and good communication skills are essential
