WHO

An international law firm is seeking a focused and driven Associate to join its Restructuring and Insolvency practice in Singapore. The office is one of the most established full-service practices in the city, with lawyers qualified across a wide range of jurisdictions, and it works closely with sister offices in Hong Kong and Tokyo to cover the region. The culture is collaborative and dynamic, and the team handles fast-moving matters packed with complex legal and commercial questions.

WHAT

You will advise and assist an exceptional client base on a broad mix of contentious, advisory and transactional restructuring and insolvency work, for both international and domestic clients. Day to day, that means drafting legal documents and correspondence, carrying out legal research, attending court hearings, and meeting and liaising with clients, creditors and other stakeholders. You will work alongside colleagues of diverse backgrounds and expertise who will expect you to take genuine ownership of your matters.

YOU

The successful candidate must be admitted to practise in Singapore with 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in restructuring and insolvency, ideally alongside exposure to commercial disputes. You will need excellent verbal and written communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, and a keen aptitude for problem solving. The ability to prioritise and multi-task efficiently, to work independently as well as within a dynamic team, and to meet deadlines with confidence in Word and Excel rounds out the profile.
