Job description

Associate Psychologist / Psychologist

Deliver and support intervention

· Provide routine intervention to support members with behaviours of concern.

· Collaborate with centre staff to implement intervention, strategies and support plans tailored to members' evolving needs

· Support in the development and the implementation of individualized personal development plans for members

· Provide professional consultation to families, staff, and other stakeholders to enhance members' development, functioning, and overall outcomes

· Conduct comprehensive behaviour assessments and regular observations for members

· Communicate regularly with families and key stakeholders regarding members’ progress and development

· Provide emergency support and guidance to centre staff during behavioural or crisis incidents requiring immediate intervention

· Develop and enhance the existing behaviour reporting and staff reporting systems to ensure accurate and efficient documentation

· Prepare detailed written reports and materials related to members’ behavioural and developmental needs

· Maintain accurate reports and documentation

Admission Assessments and Review

· Conduct initial/intake assessment alongside the multi-disciplinary team as part of routine implementation

· Respond promptly to inquiries and calls from prospective caregivers with professionalism and empathy

· Prepare assessment and progress monitoring reports

· Facilitate the application process by liaising with potential applicants, processing documentation, and conducting intake briefs and interviews

· Collaborate with families to prepare for members’ trial enrolments

· Plan and coordinate with centre staff to ensure smooth execution of the trial process, including the preparation of admission, trial and other reports

· Ensure timely probation and confirmation reporting

Programme and Services

· Actively participate in preparing and consolidating materials for presentations to the Programme and Services Committee

· Implement and monitor Programme and Services directions and plans to ensure alignment with organizational goals

· Record and maintain accurate minutes of meetings.

· Undertake any other duties as assigned by Mamre Oaks

Additional scope for the psychologist position

· Identify, recommend and implement improvements in client care models and service delivery, aligned with evidence-based practices

· Formulate evidence-based and data-driven intervention plans in collaboration with centre staff for routine and complex cases

· Conduct data collection and analysis to support research initiatives by Mamre Oaks

Experience

· Relevant experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is an advantage

· Proficiency in administering psychoeducational assessments and implementing interventions based on Positive Behaviour Support is preferred

Qualities

· Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage and work with multiple stakeholders, including families, staff, volunteers and external partners

· Proactive and self-motivated with strong oral and written communication skills

Education Requirements

· Associate Psychologist Position: Bachelor’s degree in psychology

· Psychologist Position: Master’s degree in Psychology
