About us

Dyson offers a unique opportunity for talented individuals to design and develop market leading products for the global market.

Are you a highly organized and ambitious HR professional with a passion for driving impactful projects and shaping people strategies? We're looking for a Associate Project Manager to work directly with our Chief People Officer (CPO). This is a unique opportunity for an emerging talent to gain invaluable exposure to executive-level decision-making and play a hands-on role in critical HR initiatives across our global organization.

This role isn't just about managing tasks; it's about making a tangible difference, learning from a seasoned leader, and accelerating your career in a dynamic global environment. If you're eager to roll up your sleeves, navigate complex HR landscapes, and contribute to a thriving people culture, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Support & Operational Enablement:

  • Act as a key support to the CPO, helping to organize priorities, prepare for important meetings, and ensure efficient communication across the People team and with other leaders.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and reports for executive leadership, board meetings, and key stakeholders.
  • Support the CPO in driving cross-functional HR projects and ensuring alignment on strategic priorities.

2. HR Policy Project Coordination (Global with UK Focus):

  • Contribute to and coordinate projects related to the development, review, and implementation of global HR policies, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and best practices across our major operating sites.
  • Specifically, play a key role in projects related to UK employment law and HR policies. You'll have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in areas like the Working Time Regulations and implementation of UK-specific HR policies.
  • Conduct research and analysis on emerging HR policy trends and regulatory changes, helping to assess their potential impact.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and regional HR teams to ensure policies are compliant, practical, and well-communicated.
  • Help develop communication plans and support training initiatives for new or updated policies.

3. HR Project Management & Process Improvement:

  • Manage and coordinate key HR projects and initiatives from planning to execution, ensuring timelines are met and objectives achieved.
  • Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and help track progress.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within HR operations and contribute to developing more efficient workflows.
  • Help track key performance indicators (KPIs) for HR projects and report on progress.

4. Collaboration & Communication:

  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues across the People team, including HR Business Partners, and other internal departments like Legal and Finance.
  • Assist in drafting clear and concise communications about HR policies and project updates.
  • Support effective information flow and coordination across various HR initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Progressive experience in Human Resources, ideally with exposure to HR policy, project coordination, or operational roles within a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in and foundational knowledge of UK employment law and HR policy is highly valued. You'll have opportunities to build on this expertise.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate information clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
  • A high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and familiarity with Workday. Experience with project management tools is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant HR certifications (e.g., CIPD Foundation/Associate, SHRM-CP) are a strong advantage.
