A construction and engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Project Manager. The ideal candidate has at least 8 years of experience, specifically local project experience, and is knowledgeable about the permitting process in Singapore. Responsibilities include overseeing design and architectural input, managing contracts, and leading project teams to ensure timely execution. Strong skills in project and contract management are essential.
Minimum 8 years experience, 5 years local project experience, preferrably Industrial Science & Technology Project; High rise residential project (Private/HDB BTO)
Experience in managing SIA, PSSCOC contracts
Knowledgeable in Singapore permitting process and updated with the latest code
Registered in BOA has advantage
Able to work independently and lead the project team
Specific Responsibility, Accountability & Authority:
1. Responsible for the general design and architectural input for their projects.
2. Responsible to the Project Director/Associate Director/Technical Director and is to liaise with the Architectural Executive, Senior Project Executive and Technicians.
3. Complete the day-to-day executive work including design presentations, authority submissions and project correspondence.
4. Initiate and undertake actions to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity.
5. Identify and record any product quality problems, to initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels and implement that solution.
6. Ensures that the Integrated Management System is implemented for each project and is responsible for the maintenance of the Job Record.
7. Liaise with the clients representative on all project issues
8. Monitor progress of contracts and billing status.
9. Perform the role of the BIM Manager in the management, training and project interface.
10. Perform the following project implementation functions:
· Reports to Project Director on all design and technical matters.
· Design and Documentation
· Understanding and Application of Building Regulations.
· Direct the technical staff on the Preparation and Submission of Forms, Plans and
Information required by Authorities for Approvals.
· Liaise with other consultants.
· Attend/Lead Project/Site Meetings and Inspection.
· Directs the Project Senior Executives in the co-ordination, organisation and preparation of Construction Documents and Drawings.
· Contract Administration
· Liaise with Suppliers and Contractors.
· Check Design, Submission, Consultants and Contractor Shop Drawings and comment but
· not approve.
· Directing the Technical Staff and Secretaries on their respective information management
· matters.
