The Department of Architecture invites applications for the position of Associate Professor (Practice Track) in Integrated Sustainable Design.
The Master of Science (Integrated Sustainable Design) is a one-year graduate programme that emphasizes a systems approach to design, integrating social, economic, and ecological factors into urban planning and architecture. Knowledge of data-driven methods and tools such as AI, GIS, and parametric modelling is advantageous.
The department is ranked among the top 10 worldwide and Asia’s best in Architecture/Built Environment (QS 2024). It offers accredited programmes in architecture, urban planning/design, landscape architecture, and conservation, with diverse and international faculty. The university provides competitive remuneration, research funding, and benefits, including subsidized housing on campus for international applicants.
Applicants should have a background in architecture, urban design, or environmental science, with at least a Master’s degree from a professionally accredited programme. The successful candidate will lead studios and courses in the MSc programme and may contribute to other related programmes. Preference is given to candidates with interdisciplinary research interests addressing environmental, urban, and social challenges in Asia.
