Job summary

Maybank Securities is seeking an Associate, Corporate Actions to join the Operations team in Singapore. You will lead end-to-end processing of corporate action events across global markets, ensuring timely execution and accurate entitlement processing.

You will engage with custodians, depositories, exchanges, and market data vendors, while maintaining strong controls and governance. Opportunity for growth within a leading financial institution.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Corporate Actions, Asset Servicing, Custody Operations, Securities Operations, or Banking Operations.
  • Good understanding of mandatory and voluntary corporate action event types, securities processing, and market practices.
  • Sound understanding of reconciliation processes, entitlement validation, and exception management.
  • Familiarity with custody platforms, corporate action processing systems, and market communication channels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Good understanding of operational risk, controls and regulatory requirements
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with automation and reporting tools such as Power BI, VBA, Alteryx, or Python is a plus.
  • Willingness to work early shifts and Singapore public holidays when required

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage a wide range of mandatory and voluntary corporate action events, including cash and stock dividends, rights issues, stock splits, mergers & acquisitions, tender offers, redemptions, and other asset servicing events.
  • Review and validate corporate action announcements received from custodians, depositories, exchanges, and market data vendors.
  • Ensure accurate and timely setup and maintenance of corporate action events in internal systems.
  • Monitor event lifecycles and manage critical market deadlines to ensure instructions and elections are submitted on time.
  • Process and verify client elections for voluntary events, ensuring all eligibility criteria and position requirements are met.
  • Reconcile cash and stock entitlements, investigate discrepancies, and resolve exceptions in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and provide event-related support.
  • Escalate operational risks, breaks, and high-impact events promptly, ensuring appropriate controls and governance standards are maintained.
  • Support audit, compliance, and regulatory reviews by maintaining accurate documentation and records.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements, automation, and operational efficiency improvements.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate, Corporate Actions to join our Operations team.
