Job summary

Alcon Singapore Manufacturing Pte Ltd is seeking an Engineer in the Automation & Control Team to provide operational technical support and drive productivity with GMP/GDP compliance. The role includes maintenance, validation, and supporting 24/7 standby for major equipment, plus leading automation projects and training on processes and systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical/mechatronic/automation troubleshooting.
• Experience with Siemens S7/TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT and/or Allen Bradley PLC.
• Familiarity with GMP/GDP requirements and 24/7 standby support on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st level engineering support for major equipment downtime.
• Lead and support automation/control projects, including documentation and SOPs.
• Perform maintenance, backup/restore for IPC/PLC systems and validate equipment/software.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and Alcon quality requirements.
