About the job:

  • You will also play a key role in developing this business line within Synpulse, identifying opportunities, leading sales efforts, and managing and developing client relationships.

  • Shape and develop scalable technology in Synpulse8.
  • Work with fintech and insuretech partners.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Further build up APAC insurance practice around key focus areas such as digital transformation and operational excellence.
  • Conduct interviews and workshops to define future state visions and prioritization of opportunity areas that deliver value across people, processes, data & technology while ensuring buy-in from clients' senior management.
  • Produce solutions to complex problems demonstrating in-depth knowledge of the subject matter and an ability to think independently and communicate such concisely.
  • Mentor consultants and senior consultants to increase their industry specific knowledge and practical experiences across (re)insurance transformation.
  • Conduct market and trend analyses to support the business identifying strategic opportunities for growth.
  • Act as a thought leader and define business development and marketing activities in Singapore and in the region.
  • Maintain and develop industry knowledge to keep a breadth of client needs and proactively recommend new and innovative solutions.
About you:
  • Educated to bachelor's degree level from a reputable university, while ideally holding an advanced degree (MA, MSc, or MBA).
  • A minimum of 12 years' experience within the insurance industry at a management consulting firm, or management function within a financial firm with long term exposure to project delivery.
  • Deep expertise in one or more of the following areas of consulting within the Insurance Industry: digital transformation, operational excellence, product development, designing/implementing target operating model, agile transformation, data analytics.
  • Evidence of sales efforts and project acquisition by leading activities or supporting senior management.
  • A detailed understanding of the opportunities and dependencies both business and technology play in a client's organization.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels internally and with client teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, managing teams across projects or workstreams.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative skills with the ability to identify complex problems, consider them analytically and conceptualize solutions.
  • Impeccable communication, presentation and facilitation skills, and experience communicating with clients at various levels across an organization.
  • Fluency in a South East Asian language, especially Mandarin and Cantonese, will be an added advantage when participating in regional projects.
