Job description

6 Months Temporary Contract

The Associate will support the development and implementation of the Integrated Research Management System (IRMS), and research grant operations of the SUTD Office of Research (OR).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Legacy Data Migration Support: Assist with data migration from grants database to IRMS, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  2. UAT Support: Participate in UAT activities, including testing, validation, and documentation of results to ensure IRMS meets the grant operations requirements.
  3. Data Validation and Quality Assurance: Perform data validation and quality assurance checks to ensure data migrated to IRMS is accurate and complete.
  4. IRMS Helpdesk Support: Serve as a helpdesk contact point for end-users, addressing queries and providing assistance with IRMS.
  5. Grants Administration Support: Provide administrative support for research grants administration, including data entry and administration paperwork.
  6. General Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative duties, such as attending to enquiries, providing logistical support, and any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • University degree holder with minimum one-year relevant work experience with grants in a university or research setting is preferred.
  • Preferred experience with system development and implementation, particularly in legacy data migration and helpdesk support to end-users.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a strong command of Excel functions, formulas, and features, including advanced functions.
  • Service-oriented, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Meticulous, with a commitment to ensure data accuracy.
  • Able to exercise diplomacy, understanding and sensitivity in the handling of confidential information.
  • Adaptable and capable of multitasking.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
