Key Responsibilities
- Correctly receive, requisition, process, and ensure proper identification of specimens and chain of custody.
- Participate in internal and external quality assurance programs.
- Monitor inventory and lab supplies in assigned areas.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on laboratory instrumentation and promptly notify personnel of any malfunctions.
- Report any adverse incidents to senior staff members.
- Perform shift duties as required.
- Maintain strict quality standards according to laboratory accreditation and licensing requirements (e.g., CAP, CLIA, HCSA).
- Perform, record, and interpret results of quality control procedures, taking corrective action when necessary.
- Comply with laboratory safety protocols and workplace etiquette.
- Assist in routine laboratory administrative tasks, such as filing and processing delivery orders and invoices.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
To be a good fit for this role, you should have:
- Diploma or higher degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related scientific discipline.
- Relevant clinical laboratory experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications and laboratory information systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong self-motivation, resilience, and a proactive approach to learning.
- Ability to manage workloads effectively and maintain composure under pressure.
- This role requires the ability to distinguish colors accurately due to safety and operational requirements.
- Candidates may be required to undergo a medical assessment based on job-specific needs.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and laboratory skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- A willingness to ‘roll your sleeves up’ and a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Fully vaccinated status against COVID-19.

Working Hours
Working hours are based on shift allocations as follows:
- Shift 1: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM; Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Shift 2: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM; Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Employees will be assigned to a shift as per operational requirements.
This is a full time role that requires commitment to maintaining high-quality preanalytical processes and laboratory standards.
