Job summary

WSP Asia is seeking an Associate Engineer Mechanical to support multidisciplinary consultancy services across thermal power, renewable energy, and Waste-to-Energy (WTE) projects in Singapore. The role involves independent technical review, due diligence, and lender’s engineer assignments, with emphasis on safety, reliability, operability, and commercial viability.

You will review mechanical design deliverables, interact with clients and EPCs, and contribute to RAM studies and engineering support

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10–12 years experience in power generation, WTE, and/or renewable energy projects.
• Experience in consultancy roles such as OE/LE/technical advisory.
• Familiarity with ASME, API, ISO, BS, IEC, NFPA standards and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Support the Discipline Head in all mechanical matters under the Power and WTE scope.
• Provide independent technical review and assurance across assignments.
• Interface with Clients, Developers, EPC Contractors, OEMs, and stakeholders.
• Deliver and review design and vendor documentation, including calculations and specs.
• Coordinate between mechanical and other disciplines.
